Hi All!

As you know I coordinate various Book Clubs in English and occasional literary meetings in Spanish. Below you have the current events. If you have any questions, comment below :) I'm posting them in alphabetical order, to be fair, as I love all our meetings just the same ;)

Como sabéis coordino varios Clubes de Lectura en inglés y de vez en cuando algunas tertulias literarias en castellano. Debajo podéis ver el calendario de los eventos actuales. Si tenéis algunas preguntas, no dudéis en comentarmelas. Los pongo en orden alfabético, para ser justa, porque quiero a todas esas reuniones de la misma manera ;)

    Hola Slawka. Podrías publicar los títulos que vas a comentar en la tertulia en inglés? Vas a cambiar la fecha a los martes?

      ¡Hola Joaquin! Este finde todos los títulos y fechas estarán publicados. Por ahora están disponibles los de enero. Donostia Book Club seguirá los lunes, la semana que viene es una excepción. Saludos :)

    Hi Slawka!

    I'm Maria Barral, English teacher in secondary school.
    I'm writing because I just saw that the next Book Club that will take place in Donosti will deal with Sally Rooney's novel Normal People, and I was wondering if my teenage students would be able to attend.

    I've never been to any club of yours, and, besides, my students have never done anything similar. However, I think they would love it, since apart from being passionate about literature (so am I), they're extremely keen on Rooney's work.

    The thing is I don't know if it could be done, if it's ok with the organization, and, of course, if those meetings would be suitable for them, 16-18 year-old teenagers with English as a foreign language.

    I would really appreciate your response, and I would also love to contact you in a more private way, if you would be so kind.

      Hi Maria,

      Thank you for your message! Of course they can come! I believe that if they can read the book and enjoy it there is absolutely no reason for them not to participate.

      I love seeing young people reading and at the next meeting I will also present a new initiative directed especially to them: LUMAfest!.
